Alison Norton

Director of Digital Transformation Initiatives for Unmanned Aerial Systems at Sinclair College

Dr. Alison Norton serves as the Director of Digital Transformation Initiatives for Unmanned Aerial Systems at Sinclair College in Dayton, Ohio.  She has over 12 years of geospatial and academic research experience, specializing in GIS, LiDAR, photogrammetry, and predictive modeling. Over the past decade, she has held positions as lead instructor and lecturer for Data Intelligence, GIS, and Geospatial Theory for Bachelor’s and Master’s level degree programs. Dr. Norton has served as Co-Principal Investigator and Lead Program Manager of varying Department of Defense and United States Air Force funded programs. She has aided and led the development of Digital Thread and Advanced Air Mobility curriculum, public engagement events, and STEM-based workforce development initiatives. Dr. Norton has experience and is active in serving as a liaison to industry, academia, and the government for both Unmanned Aerial Systems and Advanced Air Mobility.
