“Dr. Hoang is an Assistant Professor of Management at Southern Arkansas University (the U.S.), Founder & CEO of SPACE ASEAN, and Board Member of the Arkansas-Asia Business Council (AABC). He teaches courses in strategic management, international business, and non-profit organizational leadership for undergraduate and graduate students. His research interests concentrate on innovation ecosystem development and sustainability ecosystem building.

As Founder & CEO of SPACE ASEAN, he has been aggressively promoting cooperation between the U.S. and Southeast Asia on sustainable agriculture, green tech, and impact investment. Since its establishment, SPACE ASEAN has developed a broad network of partners and associates across the ASEAN region. SPACE ASEAN has been leading the ASEAN Impact Rice Initiative (AIRI) that aims to achieve 1M hectares of low-emission rice across the Southeast Asia region. Currently, the AIRI has been carried out by 7 local implementation partners across 6 countries in the region. This initiative promises to generate significant environmental, social, and economic benefits. It also improves incomes for thousands of smallholders in Southeast Asia. In addition, Dr. Hoang has been working with various U.S. companies on green hydrogen, biogas, green boilers, refrigerant treatment, and others to scale their techs and businesses in the Southeast Asia region.

As a Board Member of the Arkansas-Asia Business Council, he promotes cooperation between Arkansas and Southeast Asia on Trade and Investment. He is actively engaging with consulate general offices and national chambers of commerce of the countries in this region.

Dr. Hoang obtained his Ph.D. in Business Administration from Louisiana Tech University, a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Vietnam National University (HCM City). He is fluent in Vietnamese and English and has some competence in French and Indonesian.
