Alan Haut is the district director for the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) district office in ND. He earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master in Business Administration from Minnesota State University, Moorhead. Haut’s career started with the SBA as an unpaid student intern. Throughout his 35-year career with SBA, he has held numerous positions including economic development specialist, loan officer, lender relations specialist, and deputy district director. As district director, he is responsible for overseeing SBA services across North Dakota including access to capital, counseling and training, and government contracting.
