Janna Pastir joined the North Dakota Department of Commerce as Deputy Director of Workforce Development in 2022. In this role, she largely oversees talent attraction programs and initiatives and strategies to ensure workforce system alignment across the 8 state agencies that address workforce in different ways. Prior to her time at Commerce, Janna served as a program and Division Director at the North Dakota Department of Health since 2012, where she oversaw many different community and public health initiatives, community development for quality of life projects, and recruitment and retention activities related to healthcare and public health.
