Scott Meyer, a North Dakota native, has been serving as a State Senator for North Dakota’s District 18 since 2017. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and graduated with honors from the University of North Dakota (2006). In addition to his legislative role, Meyer is the Director of Engagement at GrandSKY. As the Director of Engagement, Scott helps lead strategic initiatives to foster business development and strengthen community relations for the nation’s first commercial UAS business and aviation park. Responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, government agencies, and local communities, to drive economic growth and promote GrandSKY’s mission.

Within the legislature, he is a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee and vice-chair of the Legislative Audit and Fiscal Review Committee, focusing on funding infrastructure projects and quality-of-life initiatives for military families. His community involvement includes serving on the boards of Altru Health System and Prairie Public Broadcasting, and co-chairing the Grand Forks Chamber’s Military Affairs Committee. Meyer’s legislative efforts have led to significant policies benefiting veterans and military families, earning him multiple Department of Defense Certificates of Appreciation and the 2024 Governor Frank White Award for supporting the National Guard and military in North Dakota.
