For the last 11 years, Seth Simonson has been an Associate Professor at North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS) in the Land Surveying and Civil Engineering Technology department. While at NDSCS he was put in charge of developing the UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) program which has now become a 1-year certificate program and 2-year AAS program. Within these degrees he provides extensive flight training in multirotor and fixed wing UAS, as well as data collection and analysis with photogrammetry, LiDAR, multispectral imaging, hyperspectral imaging, thermal imaging, magnetometer, and others. He has also been involved with a number of Drone Service Providers and is currently the Drone Services Coordinator for Moore Engineering, a full-service Civil Engineering firm. He is also an Executive Board Member for the North Dakota Unmanned Autonomous Systems Council (NDUASC).
