State of Arkansas

April Campbell currently serves as the Arkansas Economic Development Representative for the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA) where she is responsible for outreach and grant support to the state’s cities, counties, planning and economic development organizations, non-profit entities, state agencies and institutions of higher education. In the past three years at EDA, she has assisted communities secure more than $40 million in grant investments which has driven hundreds of millions in private investment for Arkansas.

As a lifelong resident of Arkansas, April has spent seventeen years working in state government first in the Arkansas House of Representatives before spending six years in the office of Governor Mike Beebe. She then worked at the Arkansas Economic Development Commission as a Senior Policy Analyst, special projects coordinator for a governor’s campaign and community economic development and external affairs director at the Arkansas Economic Development Institute.
