Paul Kodzwa is a Senior Manager in the Strategic Technologies and Partnerships at the RTX Technology Research Center (RTRC), the corporate innovation hub for RTX. He is based in East Hartford, Connecticut, and is responsible for oversight and management of RTRC business development activities for DOD customers.
He has over 20 years of R&D experience in multiple commodity areas including Turbomachinery, Fuel Cells and Advanced Sensing. He also served as the Deputy Director for Performance Assessments in the Acquisition Analytics and Policy organization in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Acquisition.
He also served for 10 years as a Research Staff Member at the Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA). He led multiple research projects at IDA for senior DOD leadership in force structure; readiness and doctrine; industrial base management; earned value management; advanced radar technology; threat assessment; and, weapon system acquisition policy.
He has authored multiple classified reports and 10 journal articles. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, and Virginia. He is also a National Science Foundation Fellowship recipient.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Iowa and Masters and PhD degrees from Stanford University—all in Mechanical Engineering.
